Erin Casioppo serves as a Visiting Lecturer in the Professional and Graduate Education (PaGE) department at Mount Holyoke College, concurrently working as a Special Education teacher in Amherst, Massachusetts. Her professional background spans diverse roles including generalist/classroom teacher, reading instructor, and ELL teacher across middle and elementary classrooms in Oakland, California and Springfield, Massachusetts, plus specialized work as a Teacher of the Deaf and Consultant throughout western and central Massachusetts.
Her research prioritizes inclusive educational strategies for linguistically and academically diverse learners, with deep focus on:
- Neuroscience-based approaches to learning
- Integration of art and language in academic development
- Behavioral support systems in inclusive settings
These interests drive her interdisciplinary methodology to address complex student needs through evidence-based, holistic frameworks.
