Erika K. Wilson

Erika K. Wilson is a Professor of Law at New York University School of Law, directing the Critical Lawyering Civil Rights Clinic. Her work focuses on advancing innovative litigation strategies to combat racial and social inequality through education law and policy. She holds a JD from UCLA (2003) and BS in Public Policy from USC (2000, cum laude).

Her research examines intersections of race, state/local governance, and educational disparities, with publications in top journals including Harvard Law Review and Columbia Law Review. Prior roles include the Wade Edwards Distinguished Scholar at UNC Law and legal advocacy with the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights. She previously practiced complex litigation at Arnold & Porter LLP.

Wilson teaches advanced clinical courses in critical race lawyering and civil rights advocacy. Her scholarship emphasizes systemic analysis of educational inequities and legal mechanisms to promote equity in urban communities.
