Erica Anderson serves as Adjunct Assistant Professor of Oboe in the Department of Music at Carthage College, with additional faculty appointments at Elmhurst College and the Music Institute of Chicago (MIC) where she maintains a studio of over 25 students. As a performer, she holds positions with the Chicago Philharmonic and Quintet Attacca, and has collaborated with major orchestras including the Chicago Lyric Opera, Ravinia Festival Orchestra, and Grant Park Symphony.

- DePaul University (Master of Music)
Ms. Anderson specializes in oboe performance and chamber music, with deep expertise in music education focusing on early oboe pedagogy and Suzuki methodology. She has completed Every Child Can Suzuki training and designs specialized programs at MIC including the Oboe Intensive Camp and Reed Making Workshop, emphasizing hands-on pedagogical innovation for developing musicians.
Her distinguished achievement includes:
- Gold Medal and Grand Prize, 2002 Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition (as founding member of Quintet Attacca)
As an educator, she conducts frequent guest clinics across Chicago-area institutions while maintaining active performance collaborations with artists ranging from Itzhak Perlman to Audra McDonald. Her work bridges professional performance and pedagogy through Quintet Attacca's residency at MIC, which delivers extensive outreach programming throughout the Midwest and internationally.
Quintet Attacca serves as ensemble-in-residence at the Music Institute of Chicago, presenting formal concerts and educational outreach across the Midwest, New York City, and Italy, with broadcasts on WFMT radio.
