Patrick Williams is Associate Principal Flute of The Philadelphia Orchestra (appointed 2018) and Adjunct Faculty at Temple University's Boyer College of Music and Dance, where he teaches flute in the Instrumental Studies department. Previously, he held principal flute positions with the Louisiana Philharmonic and Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra (Japan) and has performed with major ensembles including the Chicago Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony, and Pacific Music Festival Orchestra. He has collaborated with conductors such as Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Simon Rattle, and Vladimir Jurowski.
Williams' artistic practice spans orchestral, concerto, chamber, and recital performances. His work emphasizes flute technique, Suzuki method pedagogy, and multimedia music dissemination through platforms like WHYY's On Stage at Curtis. He actively engages in youth outreach and clinician work across academic institutions.
