Eric Juengst, PhD, is a Professor in the Departments of Social Medicine and Genetics at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, Chapel Hill. He directs the UNC Center for Bioethics and has held leadership roles in NIH-funded research on ethical and social implications of genomic technologies. His career includes serving as Chief of the NIH's Ethical, Legal, and Social Implications Branch (1990–1994) and directing the Center for Genetic Research Ethics and Law at Case Western Reserve University (2005–2010).
