معرفی
Eric J. Enemark is an Associate Professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, affiliated with the College of Medicine and the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He is also a member of the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute.
Education:
- Ph.D., Stanford University
- B.A., Carleton College
Research Interests
Dr. Enemark focuses on the structural biology of DNA replication, particularly the minichromosome maintenance (MCM) complex. His work explores how the MCM hexameric helicase transforms from a two-ring to single-ring structure during replication initiation, using X-ray crystallography and Cryo-EM to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying genetic stability and cancer development.
Scientific Contributions
His publications highlight discoveries in MCM complex structure, DNA translocation mechanisms, and RNA helicase dysfunction in cancer. Notably, his 2015 study on DDX3X mutations was featured with a cover illustration.
Scientific Awards
- Featured article with cover illustration (2015)
Laboratory
Located in the Biomedical Research Center 1, B406/B407, his lab investigates the structural dynamics of replication machinery and its implications for disease.
