Eric Beerbohm is the Alfred and Rebecca Lin Professor of Government and Faculty Affiliate in the Department of Philosophy at Harvard University. He serves as Faculty Director of the Edmond & Lily Safra Center for Ethics, Faculty Dean at Quincy House, and Senior Adviser on Civil Discourse in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. His work focuses on democratic theory, political ethics, and the philosophy of social science, with recent projects addressing civic education in polarized societies and the ethical dimensions of lawmaking.

His research explores topics such as gaslighting in political discourse, the ethical responsibilities of citizens, and the challenges of legislative compromise. His Gaslighting Citizens (2023) examines how political leaders manipulate public belief structures.
