Ereni Markos, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Marketing at Suffolk University's Sawyer Business School. She specializes in consumer privacy, digital marketing, and information sensitivity. Previously, she held roles at Quinnipiac University and co-founded a hospitality business and a sustainable luxury brand. Her research focuses on data breaches, social media engagement, and cross-cultural privacy norms. She actively collaborates with global companies and advises Suffolk’s editorial boards for the Journal of Consumer Marketing and Journal of Marketing Analytics.
Dr. Markos holds a PhD from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, an MA from Emerson College, and a BA/BS from the University of Laverne (Greece/California). Her research has been published in top journals like the Journal of Marketing and Journal of Business Research. She received multiple research grants from Suffolk University (2014-2020) and was nominated Best Faculty Member in 2018.
Her work bridges academia and industry through events connecting students with professionals. Key contributions include studies on privacy perception, data breach impacts, and sensory marketing. She has served as Track Chair for Digital Marketing at the Academy of Marketing Science and co-chaired major marketing conferences.
