Professor Erengul Dodd is a Professor of Actuarial Math & Statistics at the University of Southampton, actively engaged in research and accepting PhD students. She is affiliated with the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Department of Actuarial and Financial Mathematics.
Her research interests span Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mortality Modeling, Fertility Projections, Demographic Analysis, and Cancer Insurance Pricing. Dodd is a member of several research groups including the Statistics Statistical Sciences Research Institute (S3RI), Centre for Population Change, and Demographic and Migration Modelling.
Dodd's research portfolio reveals strong trends in demographic modeling and actuarial applications, with publications spanning mortality modeling, fertility projections, and cancer risk assessment. Her work frequently employs advanced statistical techniques including Bayesian methods, generalized additive models, and stochastic modeling approaches.
