Enrico Riley is a Professor of Studio Art at Dartmouth College, holding the George Frederick Jewett Professorship. Born in Waterbury, CT (1973), he currently resides in Norwich, VT. He earned a BA in Visual Studies from Dartmouth College (1995) and an MFA in painting from Yale University School of Art (2000). His work explores themes of cultural identity through figurative painting and contemporary visual practices.
Riley's research is reflected in exhibitions at prestigious venues like The American Academy in Rome, The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, and The Nasher Sculpture Center. His academic engagements include presentations at Tsinghua University (Beijing), Siena Art Institute (Italy), and the Black New England Conference in Portsmouth, NH. He is actively developing a new body of work focused on painting techniques and cultural narratives.
