Dr. Emre Kilic is an Associate Professor at the C. T. Bauer College of Business, University of Houston, since 2005. He earned his Ph.D. in Accounting from Syracuse University and holds a B.A. in Economics from Koç University, Istanbul, Turkey.
His research focuses on:
- Information content and value-relevance of risk disclosures
- Value-relevance of recognized versus disclosed accounting information
- Implications of derivative accounting for security prices, returns and cost of capital

- Income Smoothing by banks
