Shuyan Wang

Shuyan Wang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Accounting at the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management. Her research focuses on the intersection of financial accounting and corporate finance, particularly examining how market information influences financial hedging efficiency, funding stability through bank disclosures, and the relationship between risk management and accounting discretion.

Prior to her academic career, she worked as a senior auditor at PwC in New York from 2014 to 2018, serving clients in manufacturing, utilities, and energy industries.
