Emre A. Veral is a Professor and Chair at the Zicklin School of Business, Department of Management, Baruch College. With academic degrees in Industrial Engineering and Industrial Management from Clemson University and the University of Missouri, he has been teaching courses in Service Operations Management and Managing Business Operations since the 1980s.

His research focuses on Service Operations, Health Care Operations, and Scheduling, with significant contributions to appointment system design and healthcare operations management. Recent work explores the disconnect between appointment scheduling theory and practice, with funded projects extending through 2025. His 15 most recent publications span healthcare scheduling, revenue management, forecasting methods, and corporate compliance, reflecting a career-long integration of Operations Management principles across healthcare and manufacturing sectors.
