Emmanuel Amissah is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Economics, Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University (NTU). He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Nottingham and has been affiliated with NTU since 2013.

His research focuses on financial development, economic growth, and international trade, particularly in African economies. His publications analyze topics such as foreign firm presence, financial systems, and revenue generation in Ghana, with a strong emphasis on policy implications.
Recent studies by Dr. Amissah explore the interplay between financial systems and trade patterns, sustainable growth strategies in Ghana, and the impact of infrastructure on economic development. He collaborates with scholars from the University of Nottingham and Bond University, and is affiliated with the Globalisation and Economic Policy Centre at NTU.
As course leader for the Economics undergraduate suite at NTU, he oversees academic programs and leads modules in Macroeconomics and Financial Environment. His work has been supported by the International Growth Centre (IGC) and published in journals like the World Economy and Journal of African Business.
