Emma Taylor is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Sheffield Hallam, leading the PGcert in Vocational Rehabilitation. She specializes in work-related rehabilitation, occupational therapy education, and integrating technology/social media into teaching. Previously, she served as placement lead for pre-registration occupational therapy programs and worked as a community-based occupational therapist. Her research focuses on vocational outcomes, assistive technology, and ergonomic solutions. She actively practices vocational rehabilitation and supports individuals with neurological conditions using IT adaptations.
Teaching roles include BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy and MSc Occupational Therapy (post-reg) programs. She has pioneered educational technology initiatives, winning a 2014 teaching award.
