Emma Palmer

Emma Palmer is the Centre for Advanced Training Manager at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance (NSCD). She holds a BA Hons in Contemporary Dance and a PGCE in Secondary Education (Dance), and has extensive experience in dance pedagogy and curriculum development.

• Responsible for strategic oversight, recruitment, and pastoral support for CAT students
• Delivers complementary subjects and facilitates outreach across Yorkshire
• Previously a freelance dance artist with Fertile Ground Dance Company and collaborators James Wilton, Gosia Dzierzon, and Dora Frankel
• Former Lead Practitioner and Head of Dance with curriculum design and assessment expertise

Her career spans competitive acrobatic gymnastics, formal dance education at GCSE and university levels, and leadership in creating accessible dance training programs for young people.
