Emma Gordon serves as an Adjunct Professor in the School of Business at Menlo College while holding dual leadership roles at Stanford University: Senior Director of Learning and Talent Development for Residential & Dining Enterprises and HR consultant for the School of Medicine. She aligns organizational mission, vision, and values to optimize employee engagement and experience through evidence-based interventions.
Her educational foundation includes a Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from Alliant International University (Marshall Goldsmith School), an MBA in Human Resource Management from JFK University, and a BS in Nutritional Sciences/Biochemistry from UC Berkeley. As a Stanford Manager Academy coach, she has directly supported managerial professional growth across the university.
Dr. Gordon's expertise centers on Human Resource Management and Organizational Psychology, with demonstrated specialization in Talent Development, Employee Engagement, and Organizational Development. She designs learning programs targeting organizational pain points using best-practice interventions to enhance institutional effectiveness.
Her contributions have been recognized with Menlo College's Spirit of Teaching Award (2014). Professional service includes past presidency of CUPA-HR's Northern & Central California Chapter and current board membership at JobTrain, a nonprofit providing educational second chances.
She teaches HRM 300, HRM 316, HRM 317, and HRM 318 courses at Menlo College, integrating her Stanford leadership experience into classroom instruction.
