Emma Crosbie is Professor of Gynaecological Oncology at the University of Manchester's Division of Cancer Sciences. Her research focuses on screening, prevention and early detection of gynaecological cancers, particularly exploring the obesity-endometrial cancer link and developing non-invasive detection methods. She leads multiple projects including urine HPV testing for cervical screening and Lynch syndrome screening initiatives.
Her research examines endometrial cancer prevention through lifestyle interventions, progestin treatments, and risk prediction modeling. Secondary interests include HPV-associated neoplasia and novel biomarker discovery for ovarian cancer.
Publications demonstrate consistent focus on improving cancer screening accessibility and accuracy, with recent work emphasizing health equity, environmental sustainability of screening methods, and genomic approaches to cancer prevention.
