Emma Bassitt

Emma Bassitt is a Lecturer in Interior Design at the School of the Arts, York St John University. With over 10 years of industry experience, she specializes in architectural/construction industry linkages, project management, and technical drawing. Her professional work spans Hospitality and Leisure Design for clients like Hard Rock International and Boeing. She holds a First Class Honours BA in Interior Design from Northumbria University.

Her research focuses on micro-spaces in response to global overpopulation, exploring intersections between psychology and design. Currently teaches modules DES4013M, DES4009M, DES5016M, and DES5017M across all years of the Interior Design programme. Her expertise bridges theoretical design principles with practical industry applications.
