Emma Barker

Emma Barker is a Tutor for the Secondary English PGCE program at London Metropolitan University's School of Social Sciences and Professions. She holds a first-class honors degree in English Literature from Trinity College Dublin and an MA in Renaissance to Enlightenment literature from University College London.

With extensive experience teaching English and media studies in London schools, she has served as Head of English and supported borough-wide English education initiatives. Her expertise includes National Curriculum implementation, GCSE specifications, and developing students' reading identities.

At the English and Media Centre, she coordinates student conferences and professional development for English teachers, focusing on Key Stages 4-5 pedagogy and curriculum design.
