Emily Rose Vanags is an Adjunct Faculty member in the School of Architecture at Woodbury University. Her research focuses on architectural modeling through textiles and reimagining public spaces, particularly in Los Angeles. She holds a Master of Architecture from Woodbury, an MA in Art Museum and Gallery Studies from Newcastle University (UK), a BA in Art History and Fine Arts from San Francisco State University, and an AS in Architectural Technology with Digital Fabrication from Orange Coast College.
Her work bridges art, design, and social advocacy, including the Archive of Immigrant Experiences and Heaps: Externalizing Softness and Mess. She has received notable awards such as the AIA Medal for Academic Excellence and the Thesis Project Award. Collaborations include projects with FrameCAD, Studio One Eleven, and Perkins Eastman Dougherty. Her exhibitions, like Possibility of..., explore material innovation in art and culture.
