Emily Perry is an Assistant Professor of Practice and Curriculum and Data Manager in the Department of Behavior Analysis at Simmons University. She transitioned to full-time faculty in May 2022 after initially joining as part-time mentoring staff in 2021. Her roles include teaching courses such as Introduction to Applied Behavior Analysis and supervising fieldwork for behavior analysis students.
Dr. Perry holds a PhD in Applied Behavior Analysis (expected 2028), an MS in Behavior Analysis from Simmons (2012), and a BS in Psychology from the University of Mary Washington (2007). She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and licensed in Massachusetts.
Her research focuses on translating research into clinical practice, particularly in functional analysis, enhancing diversity in behavioral assessment tools, and strengthening mentorship practices in behavior analysis. She has over a decade of experience providing ABA therapy to individuals with autism and previously worked at Perkins School for the Blind in the Deafblind Program.
Professional memberships include the Berkshire Association for Behavior Analysis and Therapy (BABAT) and the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI). In her personal time, she engages in fiber arts, hiking, and travel.
