Emily K. Hobson is an Associate Professor jointly appointed in the University of Nevada, Reno's College of Liberal Arts, specifically in the Gender, Race, and Identity and History departments. She is a historian specializing in radical movements in the postwar United States, with a focus on queer/LGBTQ liberation, racial justice, international solidarity, and activism against HIV/AIDS and the carceral state. A National Humanities Center Fellow (2024-2025), she teaches courses on social movements, U.S. history, and intersectional theory.
