K. Mohrman is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Ethnic Studies at the University of Colorado Denver, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Her research intersects sexuality, race, religion, gender, and U.S. imperialism across the nineteenth to twenty-first centuries.

Her work examines the construction of heteronormativity and racial hierarchies through Mormonism, popular culture, and political discourse. She has contributed to journals like Radical History Review and Ada: A Journal of Gender, New Media, and Technology, and authored the book Exceptionally Queer: Mormon Peculiarity and U.S. Nationalism (2022).
Her publications address topics such as queer Mormon experiences, polygamy, and the interplay between religion and U.S. national identity. The articles demonstrate interdisciplinary engagement across gender studies, religious studies, and cultural critique.

Mohrman teaches courses on race, religion, research methods, and queer histories, including cross-listed courses with Women’s and Gender Studies.
