Emily Hughes Corio is a Teaching Professor at the Reed College of Media and Communications at West Virginia University, where she has taught since August 2011. Her expertise includes audio and video storytelling, experimental journalism, and science communication. She co-led collaborative reporting projects with George Washington University in 2018-2019 focused on the opioid epidemic and developed the college's Sports and Adventure Media major after launching the "Adventure Travel Writing and Photography" course in 2014.
