Anjelica Trinone

Anjelica Trinone serves as a Teaching Instructor of Sports and Adventure Media at West Virginia University's College of Creative Arts and Media, a position she assumed in August 2024 following a decade of professional experience in West Virginia sports broadcasting.

Her academic foundation includes a Broadcast Journalism degree and minor in Sports Communication from West Virginia University (December 2013), where she anchored the award-winning WVU News newscast during fall 2012.

Trinone's professional expertise centers on live sports media production and broadcast journalism, demonstrated through her eight-year tenure at Gold and Blue Nation where she anchored daily sports reports for Nexstar stations, co-hosted programs including The Neal Brown Show and The WVU Coaches Show, and served as Mountaineer Football Insider with on-field reporting for the live pregame show Mountaineer GameDay. Her work extends to ESPN+ sideline reporting and hosting the 2021 WVBA Excellence in Broadcasting Awards.

Prior to her university appointment, she advanced from Sports Anchor to Sports Director at WBOY starting in 2014 and taught Broadcast Journalism 101 and Intro to Editing at Doddridge Co. High School for two semesters.
