Emily Crawford-Rossi

Emily Crawford-Rossi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis at the University of Missouri. She is also a faculty affiliate with the Harry S. Truman School of Public Affairs and a fellow at the MU Cambio Center, reflecting her interdisciplinary engagement in public affairs and equity-focused research.

Her research focuses on the intersection of immigration policy, educational policy, leadership, and ethics in K–12 public schools, particularly in urban and rural contexts. Dr. Crawford-Rossi earned her Ph.D. in Educational Theory and Policy from Penn State University, where she also completed a certificate in International and Comparative Education. Prior to her academic career, she taught English in Japan and worked in the Bay Area, bringing international and practical experience to her scholarship and teaching.

She is actively involved in advising and research initiatives related to immigrant student access and educational leadership.
