Emilio Alessandro Nanni is Assistant Professor of Photon Science and Particle Physics & Astrophysics at Stanford University and SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. His research focuses on high-power terahertz sources, optical THz amplifiers, electron-beam dynamics, and advanced accelerator concepts.
Education includes:
- PhD in Electrical Engineering from MIT
- BS in Electrical Engineering/Physics from Missouri S&T
Prior to Stanford, he was at MIT's Nuclear Reactor Lab and Research Laboratory for Electronics, where he demonstrated electron acceleration using optically generated THz pulses. Research applications span quantum systems and materials science.
