Philip Howard Bucksbaum is the Marguerite Blake Wilbur Professor in Natural Science, Professor of Physics, and Professor of Applied Physics at Stanford University. He also serves as Director of the Stanford Pulse Institute for Ultrafast Energy Science and Chair of the Stanford Photon Physics Faculty at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. His work focuses on ultrafast, high-power laser interactions with matter, pioneering breakthroughs in strong-field physics, THz spectroscopy, and quantum control.

- Pioneering ultrafast laser techniques to study light-matter interactions
