Zhirong Huang is Professor of Photon Science, Particle Physics and Astrophysics at Stanford University and Director of the Accelerator Research Division at SLAC. He pioneered the development of hard X-ray free-electron lasers (LCLS) and holds key contributions to accelerator physics.
Education: Ph.D. in Physics, Stanford University (1998)
Research focuses on advanced accelerator technologies, X-ray FEL systems, and beam dynamics. Awards include the FEL2014 Prize and APS Fellowship.
