Emi Moriuchi is an Associate Professor in the Department of MIS, Marketing, and Analytics at Saunders College of Business, Rochester Institute of Technology. She holds a BA from Manchester Metropolitan University (UK), an MA from Hawaii Pacific University, and a PhD from the University of Manchester (UK).
Her research focuses on the intersection of technology and consumer behavior, with particular expertise in AI applications in healthcare, cross-cultural consumer studies, and marketing analytics. Moriuchi employs advanced methodologies including eye-tracking, structural equation modeling, and empirical studies to examine how consumers interact with emerging technologies.
Her work reveals significant trends in human-robot interaction, voice assistant adoption, and cross-cultural differences in e-commerce behavior. Recent research shows how anthropomorphic features in AI affect healthcare adoption and how cultural background influences online review processing.
