Elsa Lee is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Education within the Faculty of Arts, Humanities, Education and Social Sciences at Anglia Ruskin University. Her work bridges environmental sustainability, education, and social justice through research, teaching, and community engagement.

Dr. Lee's research centers on Environmental Sustainability Education, with emphasis on place-based learning, environmental justice, and arts integration. She investigates how arts-in-nature experiences foster child wellbeing in deprived areas and examines connections between water education and global citizenship. Her work consistently highlights social justice dimensions in sustainability education across diverse educational contexts.
Recent publications reveal strong interdisciplinary trends combining environmental psychology, wellbeing studies, and climate change education. Key patterns include the therapeutic role of arts in nature for vulnerable children, eco-capabilities frameworks for sustainability, and narrative approaches to international sustainability education.
