Elliott White Jr. is an Assistant Professor of Earth System Science at Stanford University and a Center Fellow by courtesy at the Woods Institute for the Environment. His research focuses on coastal ecosystems, particularly the impacts of saltwater intrusion and sea level rise on vegetation in coastal zones.
- Education:
- BS in Biology and Animal Ecology (2015) from Iowa State University
- PhD in Environmental Engineering Sciences (2019) from the University of Florida
- Affiliations:
- Department of Earth System Science, Stanford University
- Woods Institute for the Environment (by courtesy)
Research Interests: Dr. White Jr. employs an interdisciplinary approach combining ecology, hydrology, biogeochemistry, and remote sensing to study coastal wetlands. His work spans natural systems on the North American Coastal Plain and constructed prairie potholes in Iowa, with emerging focus on human-environment interactions in coastal zones.
