Ellie Clark is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in Ohio University's School of Theater and Artistic Director of Tantrum Theater, the university's professional theater company. She concurrently serves as Artistic Director of Arvold Warner Studio, where she trains film/TV artists, and remains a Teaching Artist at Kentucky's Governor's School for the Arts following her role as Head of Drama (2020-2023). Her affiliations include co-founding Voices Amplified, Actors Room Atlanta, Project SEE Theatre, and Kentucky Classical Theatre Conservatory.
Her artistic and research focus spans:
- Acting methodologies: Meisner, Viewpoints, Suzuki, and Composition techniques
- Arts activism: Creating equitable platforms for underrepresented voices
- Movement specialization: Physical actor training and performance
- Industry engagement: Television/film performance and professional directing
She received the Fellowship for Exceptional Talent and Dedication to the Arts during her MFA at Ohio University. With over 20 years of teaching experience, she mentors artists through Ohio University's programs and Arvold Warner Studio, emphasizing industry readiness and creative entrepreneurship.
