Ellen Vogel, PhD, RD, FDC, is a retired Associate Professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Ontario Tech University. She holds a PhD in Nutrition and Metabolism from the University of Alberta (2001) and has over four decades of academic experience, including foundational roles in curriculum development and interprofessional health education. Her research focuses on nutritional genomics, food security policy, and innovative teaching technologies.

Her teaching innovations include integrating technology like iPads into nursing education and co-coordinating research practicum programs.
