Catherine Morley is a Consultant Lecturer in the Department of Nutrition at Acadia University. She serves as a Teaching Affiliate Contact for the Nutrition program, contributing her expertise in dietetics and nutrition education.

Catherine Morley's research focuses on critical approaches to dietetics, with particular emphasis on transinclusive dietetic practice and keeping seniors safe at home through malnutrition risk reduction. Her work explores the connections between meanings of food/eating and eating behavior, especially as health status changes. She is known for integrating arts-based approaches, particularly film and video, into nutrition education and inquiry. Her research also examines historical influences on current dietetic practices and the integration of education theory into dietetics training.
Dr. Morley has received recognition as a Fellow of Dietitians of Canada (FDC).

She has held significant leadership roles in the dietetics profession, serving as Chair Elect (2011-12), Chair (2012-13), and Director-at-Large (2013-14) on the Board of Directors for Dietitians of Canada. She was also a Member of the Board of the Nova Scotia Health Research Foundation from 2013-2016.
Her teaching interests center on knowledge translation in dietetics - the integration of research, workplace needs of practitioners, and dietetics education.
