Dr. Ellen Spencer is a Senior Researcher at the Centre for Real-World Learning (CRL) within the University of Winchester's Faculty of Education and the Arts. Her work focuses on creativity in education, pedagogy, and leadership development. She holds an MA and PhD from the University of Warwick, with her doctoral research examining government policy impacts on primary schools.
Key contributions include co-authoring the Pedagogy for a Changing World series, which explores creative thinking, tenacity, and zest for learning. Her research has influenced global initiatives like the OECD's creativity assessment project and the 2021 PISA creative thinking test. She has advised the UK Parliament on education policy and collaborates internationally with organizations such as the Royal Academy of Engineering and Creativity, Culture & Education.
