Earnest Ellen Spencer, Ed.D., holds a dual role as Chair of the Education Department and Professor at Clarke University, additionally serving as MAE Program Director. She earned a Doctor of Education from Northcentral University (2015), a Master of Arts in Education from the University of South Florida (2004), and dual Bachelor's degrees in Education (1996) and Business (1992) from University of Northern Iowa and Loras College respectively.
Her research focuses on special education with emphases on autism, behavioral interventions, and mental health integration in educational settings. She teaches courses including Foundations of Special Education, Strategic Academic Learning, and Behavior Intervention Strategies. Active in professional organizations such as AACTE, CEC, and NSTA, she maintains certifications in special education and instructional leadership.
