Ellen Bulow is a Senior Lecturer in Music at the Rueff School of Purdue University, teaching courses in Music Appreciation, Piano Studies, and Music Theory. She concurrently serves as President of the Indiana Music Teachers Association. Her academic foundation includes a BA in Music (University of Hawaii), MM in Piano Performance (Winthrop University), DMA in Music Education (Boston University), and a Performance Diploma in Piano (Trinity College of Music, London).
Research Focus
Bulow's research examines piano repertoire selection methodologies across performance levels, emphasizing pedagogical processes. As an active performer, she regularly presents at regional and national music festivals and conferences. Her interdisciplinary approach bridges performance practice with music education theory.
