Ella Ait-Zaouit

Ella Ait-Zaouit serves as a Trainer and researcher in English at Fontys University of Applied Sciences, specifically within the Teacher Training College Sittard (FLOS). She is an active member of the FLOS research group Integrative Education & Boundary Crossing (IOBC), focusing on the thematic area of "Professional Development and Guidance".

Her research centers on teacher education with specialized expertise in professional identity development of novice English teachers. She completed her PhD in 2021 through portrait methodology research exploring how early-career educators form their professional identities. This work bridges educational psychology and language pedagogy, emphasizing reflective practice and identity formation in teaching contexts.

Dr. Ait-Zaouit actively supervises bachelor's and master's student graduation projects at FLOS, mentoring future educators in research methodology and academic development. Within the IOBC research group, she contributes to collaborative projects on boundary-crossing educational approaches and professional development frameworks.
