Elizabeth Ross is an Associate Professor and School Director at the School of Art + Art History, University of Florida. She specializes in late medieval and Renaissance art history, with a focus on European reception of the Middle East, travel narratives, and decorative arts. Ross holds a B.A. from Yale University and an A.M. and Ph.D. from Harvard University.

Her research explores 15th–16th century European art, including cartography, print culture, and religious imagery. She authored a book on Bernhard von Breydenbach’s 1486 pilgrimage, supported by the Mellon Foundation. Ross has received prestigious awards, including the University of Florida’s Teacher of the Year (2012) and the International Educator of the Year (2011). She has held fellowships from the Mellon Foundation and DAAD.
