Elizabeth Mazzolini

Elizabeth Mazzolini is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University at Buffalo, College of Arts and Sciences. Her interdisciplinary research spans Environmental Humanities, Science Studies, and Ecocriticism, focusing on the intersections of rhetoric, toxicity, and social justice.

Her recent publications analyze rhetorical infrastructures in environmental crises, including works on Love Canal, Three Mile Island, and the metaphorization of toxicity. She is currently developing a book titled American Toxic, which examines the material and communicative dimensions of poisoning in late 20th-century U.S. history.
