Dr. Elizabeth "Scout" Blum is a full Professor in the Department of History at TROY University's College of Arts and Sciences. With a career spanning over two decades at TROY, she teaches courses ranging from U.S. history to advanced graduate seminars and innovative game-based learning classes.

- M.A. and Ph.D. from University of Houston
Her research focuses on the intersections of gender, age, and environmental attitudes through historical lenses. Notable projects include a post-WWII environmental messaging study for children and the development of game-based pedagogy in history education.
Dr. Blum's work builds on her seminal book Love Canal Revisited (2008) and extends into educational game design through her company Mockingbird Games, which empowers youth to create historical games.
