Elizabeth Hawley-Lingham is a University Teacher in Professional Practice within the School of Design and Creative Arts. With over 20 years of experience in the public sector, she has worked across public galleries, artist-led spaces, and arts funding organizations. Her roles include Director of the Contemporary Visual Arts Network for the East Midlands (2011–2020), and independent consulting for institutions like Tate Liverpool, Arts Council England, and Spike Island. She currently coordinates the Artist Access to Art Colleges (AA2A) scheme and is pursuing Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
Her expertise spans mentoring visual artists, fostering creative networks, and strengthening the visual arts ecosystem. She has collaborated with organizations such as the New Art Gallery Walsall, UK New Artists, and the Herbert Museum and Art Gallery. Her work emphasizes practical support for artists and institutional partnerships within the arts sector.
