Education:
- PhD, Nutrition, Food Studies, and Public Health – New York University (Steinhardt School)
- MS, Exercise Science – University of Massachusetts, Amherst
- BA, Fine Arts and Dance – New York University (Gallatin Program)
Her research integrates clinical physiology and community health, driven by her prior work as a US Navy research physiologist and her movement programs for physically vulnerable populations. She explores exercise protocols for challenged populations and their physiological impacts, such as muscle fatigue in multiple sclerosis and biomarker responses to exercise stress.
Publications span topics like respiratory physiology in chronic illnesses, muscle damage mechanisms, and educational resources in anatomy. She is affiliated with the American College of Sports Medicine and the Human Anatomy and Physiology Society.
