Brent W. Alumbaugh serves as an Instructor of Kinesiology and Clinical Coordinator/Physiologist at Colorado Mesa University's Monfort Family Human Performance Lab. He holds an MS in Exercise Physiology from the University of New Mexico and a BA in Exercise Science from Colorado Mesa University.

Alumbaugh teaches Health and Wellness, Applications of Physical Fitness, Clinical Exercise Physiology, Exercise Physiology Lab, Sports Nutrition, and Advanced First Aid. In the Human Performance Lab, he trains students in equipment calibration and data interpretation while working with student-athletes across sports to quantify performance variables. He extends these services to fire/police departments through community health and wellness programs featuring biannual testing and proactive interventions.
His professional focus centers on practical application of exercise science for diverse populations, emphasizing how modeling healthy behaviors enhances educational effectiveness. Research interests span exercise physiology, sports nutrition, and performance metrics for both athletes and community members.
