Elizabeth Garner Masarik is an Assistant Professor of History at SUNY Brockport, specializing in U.S. Women’s History, the Gilded Age, Progressive Era, and U.S./Mexico Borderlands. She is an inaugural Dr. Virginia Radley SUNY Fellow and author of Sentimental State. Her teaching includes courses on gender, race, New York history, and the women’s suffrage movement.

Her research explores intersections of gender, welfare policy, and social movements in early 20th-century America. She co-produces the award-winning podcast Dig: A History Podcast and has contributed to public history projects like Nursing Clio.
