Elizabeth Curtis is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Education at the University of Southern Queensland. Her research focuses on mentoring, values education, and children's literature, with particular emphasis on early career teacher development and educational methodologies. She holds a PhD from Queensland University of Technology (2013), a GDipEd from ACU (1992), and a BA from the University of Queensland (1991).
Her key research areas include future-focused mentoring strategies, the role of children's literature in education, and values education integration. She has supervised numerous doctoral and master's students, focusing on topics such as teacher wellbeing, online education for adult learners, and cultural hegemony in Catholic education.
Dr. Curtis has received the Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Award (QUT, 2012) and actively contributes to peer-reviewed journals including Asia-Pacific Journal of Teacher Education and Professional Development in Education. Her work emphasizes collaborative learning communities, embodied arts-based practices in primary education, and the intersection of philosophy with pedagogy.
