Elizabeth Curtis

Dr. Elizabeth Curtis is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Education at the University of Southern Queensland. She holds a BA from Queensland, a GDipEd from Australian Catholic University, and a PhD from Queensland University of Technology. Her primary roles include teaching, research supervision, and administrative leadership as Programme Director of the Bachelor of Education program.

Her research focuses on Work Integrated Learning, Curriculum Development, and Education Systems. Key interests include initial teacher education, professional experience, mentoring practices, and values-based education. Dr. Curtis is a member of the Australian Teacher Education Association (ATEA).

Teaching responsibilities include courses such as EHE1100 English Curriculum & Pedagogy in Early Primary, EDU8400 Mentoring & Coaching, and RET2000 World Religions. She has 14 years of tertiary teaching experience and 12 years in academic administration.

Research supervision spans Work Integrated Learning, Curriculum And Pedagogy, and Education Systems. Current research topics explore early childhood environments for preterm infants and mentoring approaches to professional learning.
