Dr. Elizabeta Dimitrova is a Full Professor at the Institute of Art History and Archaeology, Faculty of Philosophy, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. She holds a PhD in Art History from the University of Belgrade (1998) and has been employed at the Faculty since 1987. Her academic roles include teaching undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral courses on art history, archaeology, and cultural heritage management.
Education:

- PhD in Art History (1998), University of Belgrade
Research Interests: Early Christian and Byzantine art/archaeology, medieval architecture, fresco studies, and cultural heritage protection. She has organized over 50 international conferences/seminars and led 20+ projects on Macedonian cultural heritage.
Awards: Received the award for Best Student in Social Sciences/Humanities in Macedonia (1986). Her work includes socio-cultural forensics and collaborations with institutions globally.
Grants/Projects: Extensive international collaborations, including projects in Austria, Hungary, Bulgaria, France, and the USA. Active in UNESCO-related initiatives and heritage preservation.
Labs/Teams: Leads research teams at the Institute of Art History and Archaeology, focusing on medieval art conservation, Byzantine studies, and interdisciplinary cultural heritage projects.
